Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund this two day Jam will bring together the very best of BMX and Skateboarding the UK has to offer.

The weekend will be jam packed and will feature deck building workshops with The Far Academy Trust, the legendary BMX Tyre jump, food and music plus much more…Also the London Police art piece will be freshly painted so come by and check it out…

LATEST ROM JAM NEWS….Following on from last weeks terrible fire, we’re pleased to announce the jam is still going ahead.

We’ve had a ton of volunteers help with the cleanup since last Thursday and we’re really trying to get everything back on track as they’re all doing an absolutely amazing job that we are very grateful for. Too many to name but you know who you are…

The London Police are now on site this week creating their art piece behind the Performance Bowl which will be ready in time for Saturday AND we heard today off the back of their involvement with the project we will now have two more art works by street artists Ben Eine (www.instagram.com/einesigns) and Mr Penfold (www.instagram.com/mrpenfold/) which will also be created this week…!!

The Rom crew have been busy painting out the new canvases ready for their arrival this week.

We’re expecting sunny weather and that the new art will add some well needed colour to the park – (The London Police art just can’t help but put a smile on your face) so please tell your friends to come down to the jam to check out the art, the BMX (Saturday), the skating (Sunday), The FAR Academy Trust workshops, skate stalls, competition and prizes also come and meet the Rom regulars some of them don’t even bite.

We’ll also be filming interviews and taking photos for the Rom Boys film and exhibition so if you have a few words to say please make sure you grab the film crew or photographers and we’ll be sure to get you on camera. We’ll have an interview tent setup especially for the event to get your stories and ideas for the park’s future and will have roving photographers Clint and Monkeyglove on either day.

It’s an important anniversary not just for the past but to see the park into the future so come by and help us shape the next 40 years.

Also original Rom Skate consultant, all the way from the USA, Tim Altic will also be on hand to answer all your questions about the build back in the day; and he’ll be skating the pool even though he’s in his 60’s but still rad as ever …

Timings :
11am- 9 pm – Saturday
