DEAR DRIVE IN ATTENDEE. 9:00 SCREENING
We hope you’re as excited as we are about Saturday night – the film is getting great reviews and winning awards so we know as HUGE Rom fans you will love it…
In order to make things as safe as possible and to help us try and run everything as smooth as possible we’ll need your help and support to do this.
We have an army of volunteers working on the day to ensure everything runs as safely and as efficiently as possible.
Light winds and no rain are forecast – conditions should be ideal.
With regards to timings we are requesting you start to arrive on site at around 5PM FOR THE 6:30 SCREENING AND 8:20 PM FOR THE 9PM SCREENING so we can get you parked up as quickly as possible.
Please have either your ticket printed off or ready to show on your phone so we can check you in quickly and efficiently.
You may need to wait on the outside road – please check
PLEASE NOTE – GETTING TO THE FRONT OF THE QUEUE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A SPACE AT THE FRONT OF THE SCREEN.
Due to the variety of car sizes and to ensure everyone has the best experience we will be arranging cars by their sizes so as not to block anyone’s view. Please work with the volunteers guidance on this.
Due to the current COVID restrictions we are asking you stay in your vehicle throughout the screening. If you need to use the facilities volunteers will be on hand to guide you back around the side of the car park – please adhere to their instructions.
DURING THE FILM
If you need to ask any questions or need any help please open your window and raise your arm and a volunteer will be on hand as quickly as possible. Please take any of your litter home
AT THE END OF THE FILM
The total run time of the film and with intro’s we are expecting to last around 90 minutes . As soon as the film is over we ask you to please leave the site as quickly as possible under the guidance of the volunteer marshalls. We have another screening at 9pm and so this gives us an hour to get you all out as safely as possible and the next group in.
MERCHANDISE & REFRESHMENTS
We will have “Save Rom” , “Rom Skatepark” and “Rom Boys” merchandise available for sale on the night – this is cash only and will be managed by the volunteers so if you wish to buy any mementos from the evening please make sure you bring cash. Volunteers will also be taking food and drink orders – with delivery by car more info on this will be available on the night.
The success of this evening is key for us setting a precedent for the park moving forward. All eyes will be on us so we want everyone to have an amazing time – from the park volunteers, the cinema screening people and of course you the loyal Rom fans and supporters.
We ask you please respect the volunteers, the park and your fellow drive in cinema goers. If all goes well we’re hoping this really helps kick start something great for Rom.
If you like the film please go online – tell everyone about it and remember it’s available on demand on the 13th October … www.romboys.film
